Are you looking to get back in shape or just get yourself energzed as Spring comes in?

This group is aimed at providing the time and support for Moms, Dads and Caregivers who are interested in a half-hour to an hour walk in our neighborhood.

Stroll, Stroller or Sling the kids along and join us as we WalkAround Rogers Park.

At this point, we will be meet outside of the Common Cup (1501 W. Morse) and choose our destination. If you would like to choose a path, then do so when you RSVP Yes on the RPPG Meetup Events Page. (For example, you can determine we walk down Morse to the Lake and then to Pratt Pier. Or we can walk up Greenview to Jarvis Square and back down Sheridan Road. ) Otherwise we will determine our path when we meet at The Common Cup.

This group will meet every day of the week. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday will meet at 9am.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will meet at 1:30pm.

Rogers Park Parents Group New Year's Eve Family Party

We'll be at Greenleaf Art Center, constructing our own New Years’ hats, noisemakers and paper fireworks. Assembly will be led by local artist Kathleen Case Paluch. Bring something yummy for a snack exchange. Plus there will be a story time and face painting. The party starts at 4 pm and ends at 6 pm. Admission is $10 per family. The Greenleaf Art Center is located at 1806 W. Greenleaf.

This is how we roll

When: Saturday, July 11th 10am - 2pm

Join your neighbors in the 49th ward for a fun-filled day of activities focused on bicycles and bike safety!

Whether you're a hardcore bicycling enthusiast, or simply want to spend a nice summer day riding bikes with your kids, this is the place to be. Local businesses and community organizations will offer the following:
  • Bike safety checks
  • Helmet fittings
  • Cycling merchandise
  • Gift certificates
  • Rider safety tips

The Recyclery, Rogers Park's used bicycle collective, will be accepting donations of used bikes, and the Rogers Park Parent's Group will host some kid-friendly activities for all ages. Mayor Daley's Bicycling Ambassadors will also be on hand with a table of activities for kids and adults.

At 12 Noon we'll mount up and enjoy an Ambassador-escorted bike ride through the neighborhood and then return to Touhy Park for a picnic lunch provided by Partners for Rogers Park!

Make Noise, Have Fun, & Celebrate with the Artists of the Wall!

The Artist of the Wall festival includes bands, activities for children, and NOW the RP Parents second annual BIKE AND TRIKE PARADE!!!! Please come and bring your bicycle, tricycle, stroller, wagon, scooter, or whatever and enjoy a jaunt around the park with lots of laughing, music, and maybe even decorated bikes.

Meet at 3 p.m. at the Windform Sculpture at Pratt and the Lake. Appropriate for children and adults of all ages (0 to 100). Bring instruments, bike bells, or noisemakers. FREE. Watch the artists paint the Beach Wall and find out who won cash prizes.
